In April of 2019 we purchased a 19 acre farm that came with a pole barn and 1940’s house that desperately needed some updating. Our first thought was to renovate and find a renter but then we heard others who were having success with Airbnb so we decided we would try that route for six months and then re-evaluate. We never dreamed it would be so popular but our guest have been so complementary of the beautiful surrounding mountains, countryside views, charm of the house and farm animals. We were thrilled when we ripped up the carpet to expose original hardwood floors! Next we knew we had to add another bathroom to accommodate several guest at a time. Fresh paint on the walls, painting the dark kitchen cabinets white to add brightness, new countertops and VIOLA we were ready to start decorating. We found most of the furniture and décor at estate sales and met a lot of nice people along the way who were so supportive of our new adventure. Mayberry Farm entertained its first guests in September 2019.
